Structure of the Program
First week is devoted to the lectures, and laboratory scientific research. During that period supplemental lectures delivered by senior Institute scientists.
Students themselves are strongly encouraged to prepare and lead seminars on subjects in which they have interest. Upon completion of laboratory work, participants give an oral presentation before an assembly of their peers and mentors. They also submit a written report.
Of course, the schedule also allows free time, social activities, discussion groups and more. Emphasis is placed on participant involvement in planning events and programs. Tour to Belgrade and to the local lake, cave and mountains are part of the itinerary. The trip to Belgrade is scheduled for the first weekend of the program in order to give the participants an introduction to the diverse culture and history of Serbia. This is also an opportunity for everyone to become acquainted and build a sense of community. During free time, participants can enjoy the extensive recreational (including a swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, soccer fields) and library facilities on campus.
